Following my masters degree in Applied Physics, I have worked in several roles where my analytical, programming, social and management skills have been put into practice. These consist of being a guest researcher at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience, teaching assistant at Delft University of Technology, improvement consultant at TATA steel where I quickly grew into the function of senior engineer. Following up, I stepped into the position of interim technical manager. Next to this, I worked as a private tutor at my own company, where I successfully tutored many students. My strength lies in analyzing complex process and systems. An example is the development of a pacing model which is used to determine the production results and speed. This model is used intensively and has led to several other projects. I'm very driven, ambitious, result oriented and I like being challenged and learning new things. I like to get out of my comfort zone and to improve myself. I strive to learn and am curious about new technologies. Next to that, I value good teamwork and communication. My hobbies are salsa dancing, beatboxing, crossfit/powerlifting, traveling, mathematics and reading.

As a senior process engineer, the main responsibility is to oversee the engineer production speed of the hotstrip mill and optimize this. The following tasks and projects have been carried out: • Development of new Python model for computing the production speed of the hotstrip mill (enabler project). • Organizing brainstorm sessions for optimizing the production speed in the hotstrip mill with production workers. Consists of data analysis, running of the PDCA cycle and implementing new solutions in the organization (profits est. 1 MEuro/month). • Optimization production speed for incomming products in the factory (benefits est. 1 MEuro/month). • Optimization and rewriting of system code (C++ / Python) (enabler project). • SWAT projects production speed (profits est. 3.5 MEuro/year).
As the interrim technical manager, the main responsibility is to oversee the furnace section by leading a team of engineers, researchers and trainees. • Implementation of oxygen measurement systems in furnaces for burner control (savings est. 5MEuro/year). • Overseeing installment of new walking beam furnace (investment project; costs est. 80 MEuro). • Development of workflow for nitrogen emission control with an multidisciplinary team. • Organizing new workflow for energy efficiency & reduction of waste gasses (savings est. 1Meuro/month). • Coaching trainees with researching technical defects at the furnaces (savings est. 4 Meuro/year).
Tasks consists of extensive data analysis, practical problem solving and implementing improvements in different factories. Work is often project based in period of 14 weeks where the business case, root-cause analysis and implementation are done. • Analysis and optimization of start-up cycle for Coated Products Factory (DVL3) (profits est. 300k Euro/year). • Development of analysis tools package in Python (visualization, defect tracking and defect catalogue) (enabler project). • SWAT project quality parameters hot strip mill 2 (savings est. 350k Euro/year).
Continuation on the master thesis project: the designed protocols for developing biomolecular nanostructures are further improved and characterized. Software for data-analysis in Matlab is further developed as well.
