Support the Adevinta’s group finance transformation initiated in 2024 after its acquisition by the private equity consortium (Blackstone/Permira) I was focused on identifying and improving finance processes, which involves coordinating the cleansing of finance master data and streamlining the company’s global Chart of Accounts and Cost/Profit centre structures. In addition, I was responsible for supporting the review of the governance related to finance master data creation and changes, as well as assessing the process documentation for the Global Business Process Outsourcing teams in Romania and India. Partnering with the Global process owner I was also responsible for identifying automation opportunities and coordinate the cleanup of Purchase Orders while reviewing relevant guidelines.

Supporting the Director of regional controlling to manage the month end close and the regional controlling teams integration during the finance transformation I was responsible for directly managing a group of controllers, including interim professionals, in Europe and India as well as manage 25 legal holding entities statutory accounting in Europe, North and South America and Asia, including the group’s parent company books in Norway. The team's integration consisted of supporting the migration of various ERP systems to SAP/4Hana for different marketplaces within the group (i.e. Leboncoin.fr, Infojobs.net and Subito.it) and implemented a global closing calendar for the 40+ legal entities within Adevinta group. As part of the month end close coordination role I have worked closely with different teams within the Adevinta's group, connecting the various departments involved in the financial close from different marketplaces and countries with the corporate team in Barcelona and the BPO in India and Romania to guarantee a timely and accurate reporting. As well as support the group’s audit for the entities under my responsibility.

Responsible for supporting the financial closings coordination for the eCG marketplaces (i.e. Marktplaats.nl, Mobile.de, Kijiji.ca, Gumtree.au) recently acquired by the Adevinta group I have worked closely to the financial controllers and other internal stakeholders responsible for different legal entities in Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, as well as managing the day to day accounting and control for three legal entities by ensuring the appropriate revenue and expenses recognition, preparing flux analysis and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for the group reporting package and statutory audit coordination. In addition to the controller role, I have supported the first Adevinta’s group finance transformation started in 2022 focused on supporting the ERP system migration to SAP/4Hana for the eCG marketplaces, along with the consolidation and reporting tool implementation Onestream as well as the transition from the legacy shared service center from eBay to the new BPO in India and Romania.

Responsible for financial accounting and group consolidation I am performing regular financial and variances analyses, reviewing and preparing account reconciliations, aligning and maintaining local charts of accounts, assisting with the implementation of cost centers reporting, preparation of budgets and forecasts, and review thereof as well as preparing recurring financial reports (including cashflows, monthly and ad hod reports to the parent company Engie), assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and supporting the external audit. To support the company compliance with local laws and regulations I am responsible to monitor the tax and statutory filling and support the country accountants thereof, assisting the finance team, individual country controllers and business stakeholders on any financial accounting matters. In charge of the processes, policies and procedures implementation I am working on the formalisation of finance procedures and accounting policies, contributing to the setup of P2P process, supporting the further continuous improvement of finance systems (including P2P, consolidation, reporting and travel expenses) and the implementation of new finance systems as well as participating in projects and in other specific areas (e.g. centralization of banking - cash pooling, insurances, etc.).

Responsible for the accounting department in the EMEA region, I was in charge of the month-end closing, managing the journal entries review and approval process, calculating and reviewing intercompany and tax provisions, analysing the back-to-back loans and intercompany remuneration, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management reporting’s and financial analysis, managing year-end audit processes, assisting the treasury team in the cash flow and forecast elaboration, reviewing and improving the company’s accounting procedures in accordance with the international guidelines (IFRS) and local requirements.

In charge of the day-to-day accounting for several EMEA, APAC and LATAM subsidiaries I was responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries and accounting reconciliations, performing intercompany calculations and taxes provisions, variances analysis and management reporting’s, assisting in design of accounting procedures according to US GAAP and supporting the internal and external audit process focussed on SOX and local requirements.
