In the 20+ years Dirk has worked in IT, he has been active in multiple roles in a large number of complex IT landscapes. From java developer and solution designer at major banks such as ABN AMRO, Fortis and ING to Product Owner and (technical) Project Manager at Essent, Albert Heijn, FedEx, Molly and currently at Vattenfall. In these past 20 years, Dirk has worked on many different projects, from MVP to large scale datamigration and has seen a multitude of architectures, technical concepts, tools and techniques. 

Because of his 10+ years experience as a software engineer, he is able to lead, inspire and challenge development teams to create a proper solution for a given business challenge. He is able to challenge teams with their chosen approach and always looking for a way to maximize value with minimal effort.

In the last 7-8 years that Dirk worked as a Product Owner, he further developed his communication and(stakeholder-) management skills. He has gained experience in creating and communicating a clear roadmap, challenging new initiatives for the business value, implementing a solid agile way of working and "selling" his initiatives with a large number of internal stakeholders.
