Mr. Markus Hugo worked in the field of engineering project management, where he was responsible for the planning, coordination, and controlling of development projects for various engine series, applications, and product variants. His core responsibilities included, in particular: • Creating, structuring, and continuously refining development project plans, including the definition and coordination of work packages, milestones, and interfaces, as well as deriving and monitoring relevant project KPIs. • Monitoring and managing projects with regard to costs, schedules, budgets, and capacities; analyzing deviations, identifying root causes, and initiating appropriate measures in close coordination with the relevant specialist departments. • Developing, establishing, and optimizing global planning standards, as well as maintaining and further developing project management methods and processes. • Analyzing the interdependencies within complex development projects and translating them into appropriate planning structures and methodologies; evaluating planning outcomes and implementing optimization measures. In his role, Mr. Hugo was also responsible for the design, management, and continuous optimization of project management, planning, and reporting processes, specifically: • Further developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting company-wide IT solutions and reporting systems (including SAP PPM, SAP dashboards, and Power BI). • Designing and implementing new end-to-end processes (e.g., the "non-NPI" funnel and the test bench run request process). • Planning and managing project budgets and resources for the BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), fuel cell, and electrolyzer segments, as well as for Research & Technology (R&T); overseeing multi-project budgeting for the "Sustainable" business unit and the technology divisions for Verification & Validation and New Technologies. • Planning and management of tangible CAPEX, as well as the development of a forward-looking test bench strategy. • Introduction and establishment of SharePoint Online as a central collaboration platform, along with the migration of the project management system from Primavera to SAP PPM. • Creation of process documentation and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) to ensure standardization and knowledge retention.
