I received Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Pakistan, in 2009, and Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics and Drives with the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Group at the University of Nottingham, UK, in 2015. My master’s research focused on a comparative performance analysis of Wide Band Gap (WBG) semiconductor devices against state-of-the-art silicon technologies. My research interests include WBG devices, multilevel inverters, multiphase DC–DC converters, battery chargers, electric vehicles, soft-switching converters, and active power filters.
From 2010 to 2024, I gained extensive industrial experience working on various DC–DC converter topologies, PWM rectifiers, and three-phase inverters.
Since 2024, I have been pursuing my doctoral studies at the University of Twente, where my research focuses on addressing gravimetric power density, efficiency, and fault-tolerance challenges in high-frequency inverters for More Electric Aircraft (MEA) applications.
