As a Freelancer I do: o On-premise and in cloud SQL Server support o On-premise to Azure cloud migration support

o Managed Azure PaaS and clustered IaaS SQL environments for multiple teams. o Lead On-prem to Azure migrations of SQL Servers. o Created Azure DevOps pipelines using YAML, Bicep, ARM templates and PowerShell to deploy and configure Azure infrastructure. (Virtual networks, VMs, load balancers, monitoring, backups, etc.) o Developed a SQL Server permission drift monitoring and reporting tool in PowerShell and T-SQL

o Built a new SQL environment and migrated around 30 SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS instances to SQL Server 2016. o Built automated deployment scripts to prepare VMs, install and configure SQL Servers using PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC). o Built the new SQL environment on WSFC clusters on Windows Core. Always On Availability Groups for SQL Servers and scale out deployment for SSRS. o Configured clustered MSDTC for the SQL clusters. o Supported the SQL infrastructure. (Patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, etc.)

o In PowerShell and T-SQL, I have built self-service solutions for internal customers to automate SQL Server deployment, DB backups, DB migrations, and DB decommissioning. o I worked in sprints as a member of a DevOps team. Used Azure DevOps to create CI/CD pipelines to test and deploy updates to our products. o Managed and developed ETL packages built in SSIS o Created custom Desired State Configuration (DSC) resources, composite resources and configs to set up configuration monitoring and prevent configuration drifting on our SQL Servers and their host OS.

o Worked on SSIS ETL packages, SQL Jobs, stored procedures and PowerShell scripts to adapt an in-house built data integration solution to the changes in business needs and IT environment. o Created and maintained automated SSIS and SSRS based reporting solutions and ad hoc reports for the management. o Created an automated solution to regularly validate and update server inventory information using PowerShell and T-SQL. o Set up SQL Server maintenance according to industry best practices.

o Participated in the 24/7 DBA 3rd line on call support and worked together with multiple teams to manage incidents, problems, changes and service requests. o Managed the database server farm from SQL Server 2000 to 2014 and their components. Managed backup and high availability solutions (SAN Replication, Mirroring, Log Shipping, and AlwaysOn). o Supported ITI clients in performance tuning, troubleshooting and designing. o Performed Operational Acceptance Tests and regular standard checks using the in house developed PowerShell tools and helped improving them. o Organized, documented, and executed Disaster Recovery exercises. o Worked on database hardening and setting up regular vulnerability and compliance scans in DBProtect and Qualys with the security team.

o Performed general SQL Server DBA activities (Installation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimizing, etc.) o Designed and created SSIS packages and T-SQL code and PowerShell scripts for data cleansing. o Revised the organization’s native SQL and DPM 2010 based backup architecture. o Created unified maintenance and monitoring solutions for the SQL Servers and for the hosting operating systems.

o SQL Server 2008 administration with clustering. o 3rd line support in 12-hour shifts during the games. o Set up the disaster recovery solutions with Database Mirroring. o Participated in the disaster recovery and technical rehearsals. o Created new monitoring and alerting solutions in T-SQL and PowerShell. o Managed Transactional Replications between different database servers.

o On site and 24/7 on call 3rd line support for the SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 environment with Reporting Services and clustering. o Development, monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing reports, apps and web apps mainly in SSRS, T-SQL and to a lesser degree in ASP.NET, C#, VBA. o Designed and set up SQL Disaster Recovery solutions using log shipping and database mirroring. o Lead the clustered SQL Server migration from SQL 2000 to SQL 2008 and from Windows Server 2003 to 2008. o Managed the SharePoint system, planned and lead the Intranet upgrade from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2007.
