What the unit is about

The aim of this unit is to offer students the opportunity to engage in sustained research in a specific field of study. The unit enables students to demonstrate the capacity and ability to identify a research theme, to develop a research aim and objectives and to present the outcomes of such research in both written and verbal formats. he unit also encourages students to reflect on their engagement in the research process, during which recommendations for future, personal development are key learning points.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a lecturer for the BTEC5 second-year bachelor’s Unit: Research Project. A lecturer who can contribute the necessary practical experience to inspire our full-time (18-22) and part-time students (22+).

The unit is in English. It is therefore necessary that you have a good command of English.

The planning

The unit will start in the full-time programme on Thursday 4 September and will continue until Thursday 13 November 2025. The final presentations will be on 27 March and 10 July. Lecture times 09.00-16.20. 11 days in total.

In the part-time planning the unit starts at 12 January 2026, 4 days (Thursdays). The fifth day are the exams end orals. Final presentation on 2 July. Lecture times 13.30-20.50. 6 days in total.

What we can offer

We pay € 67.50- per hour, free of VAT. A lecture day consists of 6 lecture hours of 60 minutes. This means € 405. - per day. Rate includes preparation and marking of day tests and (re) exams, oral administration, supervision and marking of assignments. So, 17 days, a total of € 6,885. –

There is also a € 0.23 km allowance per km and a parking or public transport allowance.
